go accelerate: 4-week cohort

Objective

This cohort is designed for individuals who are:

• eager to learn Go programming, including:
  • Mastering concurrency primitives.
  • Understanding and applying best practices.
  • Completing a hands-on project.
• already experienced in programming (prior Go experience is not required).
• this would be best for you if you are looking to rapidly acquire Go skills and apply them in a practical project within four weeks.

Course Outline

• First 2.5 Weeks: Learning the Fundamentals and Advanced Concepts
  • Basics: Covering Data Types, Variables, Arrays, Slices, Maps, Operators, Control Flow, Functions.
  • Advanced Topics: Delving into concurrency primitives (goroutines, channels), as well as modules, packages, and imports.
• Final 1.5 Weeks: Project Development
  • Collaborative Option: Pair up with a peer to work on a unique project.
  • Guided Project: Alternatively, follow and build a common project that I will be developing alongside the cohort.

Learning Format

• Interactive Live Classes: Held once or twice a week (specific days will be determined based on cohort members' preferences).
• Comprehensive Learning Materials: Includes assignments, additional reading materials, and preparatory resources.

This cohort is a blend of structured learning and practical application, tailored to help you effectively grasp and utilize Go programming in a short span.

Cost

To ensure committed participation, a nominal fee of $10 is set. This is just to prevent fake sign-ups and will be refunded after you complete the cohort.
